Wayfinder Performance Coaching

Direction. Clarity. Purpose.

A fitter, sharper, more productive workforce.

Wayfinder is a coached fitness and nutrition programme you provide to your people. Built around your workforce, with a return you can measure.

The hidden cost

The cost you cannot see is the biggest one.

In 2023 the average UK employee lost 49.7 days of productive time to ill health. Most leaders focus on absenteeism, the days lost to sickness. That is real, but it is only about 10% of the loss.

Nearly 90% sits beneath the surface as presenteeism: people at their desks but running well below their potential. Tired, low on energy, half-fit. You are already paying those salaries in full. A coached fitness and nutrition programme is built specifically to recover that hidden loss.

The cost of poor employee health An iceberg. Above the waterline, the small visible tip is labelled Absenteeism, around 10 percent, the time lost to sickness. Below the waterline, a far larger submerged mass is labelled Presenteeism, around 90 percent, employees at work but performing below their potential. ABSENTEEISM ~10% Time off work. The cost you see. PRESENTEEISM ~90% At work, below potential. The cost you don't see.

The size of the prize

Your healthiest people lose less than half the time.

The gap between your healthiest and least healthy employees is roughly 49 productive days a year, each. That is exactly what a coached programme is built to close.

Least healthy employees 81 days

Physical performance

Fitter bodies do better work.

Physically fitter, better-fuelled employees have more energy through the afternoon, fewer sick days, faster recovery and the stamina to perform at their best. The lever is physical fitness and nutrition, and it is one most workplace perks never pull.

37%

of UK employees were not physically active enough in 2023, so the room to recover lost time is large.

+28%

more productive time lost by physically inactive employees, compared to active ones.

+14%

more productive time lost by employees eating an unhealthy diet.

Generic perks rarely move these numbers. Coached fitness and nutrition, offered to everyone, does. Source: Vitality, Britain's Healthiest Workplace (2014 to 2023).

How it works

Performance is built, not wished for.

A proper, structured approach for your organisation. Four steps, repeated and refined as your people progress.

  1. 01

    Assess the workforce

We baseline where your people actually are, across a range of starting points, rather than assuming one level for everyone.

  2. 02

    Design around your people

A structured fitness and nutrition programme built for the demographic of your team, not a generic plan handed to all.

  3. 03

    Coach and support

Real coaches, regular check-ins and a supportive community keep people moving. This is the part passive perks leave out.

  4. 04

    Measure the return

Testing checkpoints and clear reporting prove the change in energy, fitness and capability across your workforce.

The team

Coached by people who have done it.

A former Army officer and endurance athlete, and a military-trained performance nutritionist who coaches to world championship level. People who understand performing under pressure and leading from the front.

Tom Collins

Head Coach

Former Army officer with twenty years of military leadership. Ironman triathlete, ultra-marathon runner, and Hyrox and CrossFit competitor.

Adam Glover

Performance Nutritionist

Fifteen years of military experience in demanding close-protection environments. Level 4 Performance Nutrition qualified and BTN Academy trained.

Proof

From very different starting points to real, lasting capability.

We take a group of your people through one programme, shaped around where that group is starting from. Strength training, cardiovascular conditioning, nutrition strategy and lifestyle coaching, run for the group but pitched at the right level for each person, with individual feedback along the way.

Most groups begin on one of three pathways: getting more active, fitter and healthier; preparing for an event, from a 10k or half marathon to Hyrox; or a bespoke programme built around what your organisation needs. Whichever the pathway, the aim is the same: real, measurable capability that shows up in your people's energy, their focus and the way they perform.

You do not have to take our word for it. Hear it from the professionals our coaches work with, in their own words, and the difference it has made to how they show up and perform at work.
